Easily Donate Cat Litter to Cat Shelters with Paw Points

Paw Points is giving people two very easy ways to donate cat litter to cat shelters.

Jamey and I just redeemed six codes from Fresh Step cat litters. Paw Points donated a scoop of cat litter to an animal shelter for each code.

You can also donate your accumulated Paw Points to and they will "3X your Paw Points® donation. For every 1 Paw Point® you donate from 4/20/20 to 6/30/20 (or until goal is met), we’ll match your donation with 2 more, up to 2 million additional points for an overall total of 4 million points."

Since this is our favorite cat litter, Jamey and I have been collecting Paw Points for awhile now and have in the past used it to get several coupons for free boxes of cat litter. If you use Fresh Step cat litters and have not been redeeming your Paw Points, we highly recommend it. It is very easy to do and is now a way to help cat shelters too. (There are many other rewards you can also get with your PawPoints.)

As noted in yesterday's post, we will be mainly posting on https://www.wearegratefulfour.com/ instead now but when we do have something related to rescue cats, we will continue to post here also.

Why We Have Been So Quiet

It is June 1st, 2020.  It has been almost one year since I last wrote a blog post on here.

We have not been able to do much relating to rescue work (other than caring for our own two rescue cats, Johnny and Night) for the past year because we took over a 60% cut to our income when Jamey lost his job on February 2, 2019.   Having the transmission die on our 19 year old car on March 2nd, 2019, not only left us without transportation but it left Jamey, who is wheelchair bound, without a way to even go out and hunt for a new job.

Thus we have been, and still are, focused on making ends meet on about $22,000 a  year.  That has required us to pull way back on a lot of things including our animal welfare work.  We are still helping out as we can, including with a donation of dry food to Foster Mama Kittys yesterday but at this point, we are mainly focused on bringing in additional income by doing "gig work" online so that we can take care of ourselves and our two Feline Leukemia positive rescue kittys.

I will leave this blog up and may post here from time to time but for now, I am going to focus mainly on our other blog, https://www.wearegratefulfour.com/

As noted, that blog is going to focus on how we are finding ways to bring in additional income via online work to help support two disabled humans and two cats with Feline Leukemia, i.e., the four of us, which is why the blog is about what "we are grateful four."   While days are not always easy, some days between Jamey and I, we bring in less than $5 extra, we still have a roof over our heads and food on the table, so we remain grateful every day.

If you would like to join us on our gratitude journey and see how we bring in additional income (which can range from $2 - $25 extra a day) then please stop by https://www.wearegratefulfour.com/ as I bring it back to life.

Thank you.
